The Accommodations offered by DéfiPlanet’ and Parc de la Belle are located in nature, amidst fauna and flora. Consequently, insects (ants, spiders, etc.), rodents (squirrels, dormice, etc.), frogs, birds, or other animals may enter the Accommodation, or make noises/cries day or night. The inconvenience caused by this wildlife does not entitle the client to a free relocation: this will be charged at 100 Euros, subject to the availability of other Accommodations. VII.3 Modification of the Event for Groups and Seminars For Groups or Seminars, any modification to the initial Event must be requested in writing. Acceptance by SAS DéfiPlanet’ will also be confirmed in writing. If the number of Participants proves to be higher than the number indicated on the quote, the provision of spaces will only be confirmed after receipt of the additional deposit corresponding to the booking differential. Any modification of the Event (addition/postponement/reorganization not causing cancellation or reduction in numbers) will incur booking fees according to the following terms: Between 30 and 7 days before the start of the Event: 50 euros Between 7 days and the day of the Event: 100 euros
VII.4 Modification of Accommodation Type by SAS DéfiPlanet’ In case of unavailability or force majeure, SAS DéfiPlanet’ reserves the right to modify the Client's Accommodation. In this event, SAS DéfiPlanet’ will offer an Accommodation of a price equal to or higher than the Client's initial booking, or, for Groups or Seminars, will accommodate all or part of the Participants in a nearby hotel of an equivalent category for services of the same nature, with the costs inherent to the transfer remaining at the expense of SAS DéfiPlanet’. - Accept the change with a refund of the price difference,
- Cancel their booking and receive a full refund of the sums paid, or
- Change the date of their stay without any date change fees.
ARTICLE VIII – CANCELLATION OF THE BOOKING Any cancellation of a booking made with SAS DéfiPlanet’ must be sent in writing (letter or email), with the date of the written notice serving as proof. It will give rise to fees, the terms of which are set out below. The following provisions do not apply to cancellations of activities or catering sent in writing 48 hours before the service. VIII.1 Total Cancellation a. Individual
More than 30 days before the start of the stay: 25 Euros Between 30 and 15 days before the start of the stay: 25% of the rental price Between 14 and 8 days before the start of the stay: 50% of the rental price Between 7 and 2 days before the start of the stay: 75% of the rental price 1 day before the start of the stay or no-show: 100% of the rental price These cancellation conditions apply in the same way to bookings made with a gift voucher, gift box, or gift certificate. A no-show on site or cancellation of the stay means the definitive loss of the voucher/box/gift certificate, and its dispatch at your expense to SAS DéfiPlanet’. b. Group or Seminar More than 30 days before the Event: Amount of the deposit(s) provided for in the quote at the time of booking Between 30 and 15 days before the date of the Event: 85% VAT-inclusive of the amount of the booked services Less than 14 days before the date of the Event: 100% VAT-inclusive of the amount of the booked services Changing the date of the Event is treated as a total cancellation and entails the application of the preceding terms. Also treated as a total cancellation is the failure to pay amounts other than the deposits paid, giving rise to the application of the preceding terms. A management fee of 300 Euros will be added to the said cancellation fees.
VIII.2 Partial Cancellation a. Individual In the event of cancellation of part of the stay, the same terms as those applied to a total cancellation (Article VIII, 1, a) are applicable to the cancelled part of the stay. If the Individual has benefited from a special rate based on a minimum number of nights, this will be removed if the minimum number of nights is no longer met. b. Group or Seminar In the event of partial cancellation (reduction in the duration of the Event, reduction in the number of participants and/or ordered services), the pro-rata rule will be applied according to the terms provided for a total cancellation (VIII, 1, b).
ARTICLE IX – INSURANCE IX.1 Cancellation Insurance Cancellation insurance is not mandatory but is strongly recommended to the Client. The amount of the insurance premium is calculated as a percentage of the total cost of the stay, for both Individuals and Groups or Seminars. All guarantees and deductibles can be consulted on the DéfiPlanet’ website:
www.defiplanet.com, the Parc de la Belle website:
www.cabanesdelabelle.com, or on the other SAS DéfiPlanet’ sites.
IX.2 Client's Insurance: Deterioration, Breakage, Theft, Fire SAS DéfiPlanet’ declines all responsibility for any damage whatsoever (theft, breakage, degradation, fire), and in particular likely to affect the objects, effects, or materials of the Client or Participants/Guests, brought by or belonging to the Clients, Participants, or Guests in the context of the booking, or made available by SAS DéfiPlanet’ on the occasion of an Event. The Client is responsible for any direct or indirect damage that they or the Participants/Guests may cause during any booking, whatsoever (Accommodation, activity, catering). The Client is responsible for the custody of goods and materials brought by them, or the Participants/Guests. The Client is advised to take out insurance at their own expense to cover any damage. If these are objects of great value, the latter is invited to arrange for security at their own expense and to take out specific insurance, as SAS DéfiPlanet’ cannot be held responsible in case of deterioration or theft of said goods.
ARTICLE X – RATES The stay rental rates are applicable for the current season. The contractual price is the one fixed at the time of booking.
Prices are inclusive of all taxes, and include the rental of the accommodation and its equipment, utilities (water, electricity, heating), and access to the free leisure activities present on the accommodation site (swimming pools, children's play areas, outdoor fitness, beach volleyball court, petanque courts, hiking trails, and floral park for Parc de la Belle). For Individuals, the prices of Accommodations do not include the final cleaning: the Accommodation must be returned on the day of departure in a perfect state of cleanliness, with the exception of hotel rooms where cleaning is carried out every day from 11 a.m. If the Individual does not wish to do it, the final cleaning service for the Accommodation can be requested from the stay advisors, for an additional fee. For Groups or Seminars, cleaning is carried out by the SAS DéfiPlanet’ teams after departure. However, the Accommodations must be returned in a reasonable condition, as assessed by SAS DéfiPlanet’. Prices do not include personal consumption, access to paid leisure activities, booking fees, and tourist taxes. All services consumed during the stay must be paid for before departure. In case of non-payment, SAS DéfiPlanet’ reserves the right to cash the Individual's bank deposit at the time of their departure, or to invoice them directly to the Groups or Seminars who will be jointly and severally liable for their payment.
ARTICLE XI – ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE XI.1 Arrival a. Individual Arrival is between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m., and from 2 p.m. for camping pitches. In case of an arrival planned after 7 p.m., please contact SAS DéfiPlanet’ to obtain instructions for arrival after the site reception has closed. The booking number must be presented, an identity document and a bank card imprint may be requested. b. Group or Seminar Upon the arrival of the Group or Seminar, a review of the numbers and the Event program is conducted at the site reception.
XI.2 Departure The Client's departure and the return of the keys must take place before 11 a.m., unless a special agreement has been made with the Management of SAS DéfiPlanet’. Any overrun of this time not previously agreed upon may result in the invoicing of an additional night, at the displayed public rate. SAS DéfiPlanet’ and its activities are accessible to the Client before and after the said times. Any interruption of the stay by the Client will not give rise to any refund.
In the event of the Client's early departure, without having paid the sums due, SAS DéfiPlanet’ will be entitled, on the day of departure, to remotely charge the latter using the bank card imprint provided at the time of booking. If the final cleaning of the accommodation is not carried out, the amount for this will be retained from the security deposit.
ARTICLE XII – ACTIVITIES The activities and parks are accessible to the Client during the sites' opening hours. These hours can be found on the websites. Certain supervised activities of SAS DéfiPlanet’ are accessible according to established and displayed schedules, and require prior booking. SAS DéfiPlanet’ reserves the right to cancel or modify an activity if special reasons require it, such as unfavorable weather, participant safety, insufficient participation, or an unforeseen event. In this case, this cancellation will be refunded, in accordance with the amount previously invoiced to the Client. An activity cancelled by the Client, which is maintained by SAS DéfiPlanet’ because it complies with safety rules, will not give rise to a full refund and will be invoiced in accordance with the terms set out in point VIII of these conditions (in case of cancellation less than 48 hours before the said activity).
XII.1 General Conditions SAS DéfiPlanet’ provides the borrower with equipment in good working order. A security deposit is required to take possession of it. Failing that, the renter may accept the deposit of an identity document. The security deposit can in no case be used for a rental extension. The lessee agrees to use the equipment with care, to provide for its maintenance, and to return it in working order. Any loss, deterioration, or repair of the equipment may be subject to invoicing according to the rates in force.
XII.2 Duration and Rental Rates The rental of the equipment is granted for the duration for which the rate is fixed by SAS DéfiPlanet’. In all cases, the equipment must be returned where it was borrowed, at the end of the rental period.
XII.3 Liability The user is responsible for the equipment from the moment they take possession of it until its return. The lessee is personally responsible for any infringement of the highway code, and is always responsible for the bodily and material damage they cause during the use of the rented cycle of which they have custody (Art. 1383 and 1384 of the Civil Code).
In case of theft or if they are responsible for an accident, the lessee or their insurance must repair the damage suffered by the renter (replacement value of the equipment and commercial prejudice). A helmet and a lighting system are offered at the reception for any bicycle rental. Wearing a helmet is mandatory for any child under 12 years old. In case of an accident, SAS DéfiPlanet’ declines all responsibility. XII.4 Prohibitions It is forbidden:
- To sublet
- To use the Rosalie (four-wheel cycle) with more than 4 people (2 adults + 2 children)
- On a mountain bike, to transport a passenger other than a young child, provided that an approved seat is installed
- To modify the equipment and carry out major repairs
- To extend the rental without prior agreement. Failing this, the initial rate is applied for the entire duration of the rental.
ARTICLE XIII – DOMESTIC PETS Domestic pets are allowed in all unusual Accommodations of SAS DéfiPlanet’ with the exception of the Hotel and the Parc de la Belle, for a flat fee per stay. Animals are not allowed in the DéfiPlanet’ theme park, at Le Cormenier, and in the Gardens of Parc de la Belle. Guide or assistance dogs are admitted without incurring an additional charge. The Client must ensure that their animal does not disturb the peace and safety of other residents: they must keep it on a leash within the grounds of SAS DéfiPlanet’, and are required to respect the current hygiene rules. Clients must ensure that their animals' vaccinations are up to date and be in possession of their health record; their identification is mandatory (microchip or visible tattoo).
ARTICLE XIV – SPECIAL REQUESTS Clients with mobility problems must inform SAS DéfiPlanet’ at the time of booking, in order to be guaranteed the best services. Likewise, a hosted Client with allergies (wood, dust, animals, pollen, etc.) must inform SAS DéfiPlanet’ at the time of booking, and determine whether, depending on the type of Accommodation and its environment, there is a risk to their health. SAS DéfiPlanet’ declines all responsibility in the event of a Client's allergy related to the site's environment. The same applies in the case of a special diet.
For any request for the following optional/supplementary services, please contact SAS DéfiPlanet’:
- Free baby cot – upon reservation subject to availability
- Free baby high chair – upon reservation subject to availability
ARTICLE XV – CORKAGE FEES SAS DéfiPlanet’ provides the Client with a wine list that can be offered on various occasions. However, the latter has the option of bringing their own wine. They will then be charged a "corkage fee" by SAS DéfiPlanet’. Nevertheless, depending on the number of bottles planned, it will be possible to review this cost by opting for a flat rate, the price of which will be determined in advance by mutual agreement between SAS DéfiPlanet’ and the Client. This flat rate will help to reduce the costs attributable to the Client: it will remain unchanged once the event is over, regardless of the number of bottles finally opened. SAS DéfiPlanet’ leaves the Client free to choose between the unit rate and the flat rate to determine the amount of the corkage fee.
ARTICLE XVI – MISCELLANEOUS In the event of force majeure as defined by the provisions of Article 1218 of the Civil Code, compelling SAS DéfiPlanet’ to be unable to honor their commitments, their obligations will be automatically suspended, without their liability being engaged. SAS DéfiPlanet’ will offer the Client the postponement of their stay to a later date, or the restitution of the entire amount of their stay, without the Client being able to claim any other compensation or legal action. Parc de la Belle:
- The family treehouses welcome children from 2 years old (except for the Fisherman's and Canopy treehouses, from 6 years old)
- The double treehouses welcome children from 12 years old
An official document justifying the age of the children may be requested at the beginning of the stay. An adult must be present in each treehouse. In case of a false declaration, SAS DéfiPlanet’ cannot be held responsible.
ARTICLE XVII – APPLICABLE LAW These general and special conditions are subject to the application of French law. In accordance with the provisions of Article L. 133-4 of the Consumer Code, the Client is informed of the possibility of resorting free of charge, in case of dispute, to a conventional mediation procedure or to any other alternative dispute resolution mode. They have the possibility of resorting to a mediation procedure with the Mediator of Tourism and Travel according to the terms fixed on the site
www.mtv.travel and within a maximum period of one year from the written complaint made to SAS DéfiPlanet’. Any dispute relating to the validation, interpretation, execution or non-execution, termination of these GTC is subject, in the absence of an amicable agreement, to the courts of Poitiers.
Special Terms and Conditions of Sale of SAS DéfiPlanet’
Group or Seminar Packages
ARTICLE I – ORGANIZATION OF THE EVENT In general, a reduction in the number of Participants is considered a partial cancellation of the booking, leading to the application of Article VII, 1, b of the general terms and conditions of sale, whether it concerns Accommodations, catering, rented spaces, or activities. For a number of Participants greater than the number initially planned, fees corresponding to the rates in force at SAS DéfiPlanet’ will be invoiced to the Group or Seminar.
I.1 Accommodations The Group or Seminar must send in writing (letter or email) the nominal list of Participants and the room allocation (Rooming-List) no later than fifteen (15) calendar days before the date of the Event. For Seminars, bed linen and towels are provided in all Accommodations. For Groups, bed linen is provided in all Accommodations. Towels remain the responsibility of the Participants, with the exception of the Manors, the Castle in the Trees, and the Hotel rooms.
I.2 Catering a. Number of Participants The Client must specify in writing the exact number of covers planned for each meal twenty (20) calendar days before the date of the Event. For the following two clauses, it is specified that catering not consumed as part of a package cannot give rise to a price reduction. b. Choice of Meals The Client must confirm their choice of menu no later than twenty (20) calendar days before the date of the Event. Exceeding this deadline will oblige SAS DéfiPlanet’ to impose a menu choice. c. Breakfast Breakfast is taken in the Accommodations or at the restaurant. It must be booked no later than the day before arrival: beyond this deadline, SAS DéfiPlanet’ will not take orders on site. d. Delay Fees are applied in case of the Client's late arrival compared to the scheduled mealtime. These fees are 1 Euro per participant every 30 minutes for any half-hour of overrun started.
I.3 Provision of Spaces a. Allocation of Spaces In case of a change in the number of Participants or for reasons inherent to the management of SAS DéfiPlanet’, the Group or Seminar could be allocated a different space from the one initially planned. b. Use of Spaces The use of the spaces allocated to Groups or Seminars must in no case be contrary to public order. The behavior of the Participants must in no way be likely to cause prejudice to SAS DéfiPlanet’, which reserves the right to intervene if necessary, or to call on law enforcement. In application of the provisions of decree no. 92-478 of May 29, 1992, relating to the ban on smoking in premises for collective use, the Group or Seminar is informed that the meeting and reception rooms are "non-smoking" areas: it is their responsibility to ensure this ban is respected by the Participants. It is strictly forbidden to smoke in the Accommodations or in the Hotel rooms, under penalty of having the sum of 100 Euros deducted from the security deposit. As soon as the Event ends, the Group or Seminar will have the various materials, documentation, and equipment brought at its request and installed in the spaces removed at its own expense. c. Damage to Spaces In case of damage to the spaces, these will be invoiced to the Groups or Seminars without the latter being able to object. I.4 Program a. Program Activities The sports activities as well as the workshops of DéfiPlanet’ take place within the opening hours present on the display areas and on the websites. Any request outside these hours will be increased by 20%. Given the sporting and technical nature of certain activities practiced, Participants may run certain risks during the program. The Group or Seminar assumes them in full knowledge of the facts and waives the right to engage the liability of SAS DéfiPlanet’ or that of its various service providers. The Participants of the Group or Seminar must be insured for civil liability, and it is recommended that they hold an individual accident insurance policy. b. Respect for the Established Program and Management of Time Overruns The course of the Event with precise timing of activities is defined in the annexed contract. Non-compliance with the said program is likely to modify the working hours of SAS DéfiPlanet’ employees, or the agreements signed with external service providers. In fact, a time overrun will result in additional invoicing based on 2 Euros per Participant, with a minimum amount of 50 Euros for any half-hour of overrun started.
ARTICLE IX – CLIENT REQUEST Any request from the Group or Seminar must be followed by a written document (email, fax, letter). In the absence of written proof, it will neither be processed nor programmed.
ARTICLE X – REQUESTS FROM EVENT OR TRAVEL AGENCIES Any request from event or travel agencies in the context of the regular organization of future Events will refer to the general terms and conditions of sale of SAS DéfiPlanet’, and in particular Article VIII, 1, b, relating to the conditions for total or partial cancellation. If necessary, on an exceptional basis, the agency and SAS DéfiPlanet’ may agree on a retrocession date for the requested services that does not entail a financial penalty in case of cancellation, subject to confirmation. In all cases, SAS DéfiPlanet’ reserves the right not to accept to "block" temporarily and free of charge more than 10% of the total Accommodations already rented on a previous Event carried out under identical conditions.
ARTICLE XI – REMARKS DURING THE SERVICE Any remark from the Group or Seminar concerning the course of the Event, and in particular non-conformity with the order validated on the quote, must be followed by a written document (email, letter, fax). It must be formulated on the day of the Event. The reception of SAS DéfiPlanet’ is reachable seven days a week (7/7) according to the opening hours or by email at

ARTICLE XIII – CHOICE OF RESTAURATEUR/CATERER The client is free to choose their service provider. SAS DéfiPlanet’ will be a source of proposals regarding the partner company that operates its premises. However, if the client chooses another provider, they will be obliged to inform the chosen restaurateur/caterer of their obligation of retribution. This retribution represents 15% of the total VAT-inclusive amount invoiced for this same purpose and for all services issued on the sites of SAS DéfiPlanet’. In other words, the provider chosen by the client must present to SAS DéfiPlanet’ a VAT-inclusive invoice for the services performed on the site and pay a commission of 15% of the VAT-inclusive amount invoiced for the use of the spaces. Without prior written validation of the event by the 3 parties (the client, SAS DéfiPlanet’, and the chosen provider), the services cannot take place.

Reduction offers on the second and third nights are not applicable during these periods. The preceding provisions do not apply to the Hotel or the camping pitches of the DéfiPlanet’ site.
ARTICLE II – BOOKING OF INDIVIDUAL PACKAGES WITH A GIFT VOUCHER In the context of a booking with a gift voucher, a gift box, or a gift certificate, its number as well as a bank card imprint will be requested to validate the stay. It will be 500 Euros for the chalets, gîtes, castle in the branches, manors in the trees, and leprechaun houses. The security deposit can be made by bank card imprint, destroyed on the day of departure, or by cheque, returned or destroyed within 10 days following departure, at the Individual's expense, after deduction of any damage caused. In the event of the Individual's early departure, without having paid the sums due, and provided that they have not communicated their bank details, SAS DéfiPlanet’ will be entitled, in the case of a deposit given by cheque, to cash it. In this same scenario, in the case of a deposit given by bank card imprint, SAS DéfiPlanet’ will be entitled to remotely collect the sums due by the Individual.
ARTICLE IV – ACCOMMODATIONS It is strictly forbidden to smoke in the Accommodations and in the Hotel rooms, under penalty of having the sum of 100 Euros deducted from the security deposit. It is requested to report any shortage or damage upon arrival, and any problem that the Individual may encounter. In case of damage or loss of keys, SAS DéfiPlanet’ will inform the Individual of the damage caused during their stay. The latter will be asked to pay the amount. After payment, the security deposit will be returned or, failing that, retained. IV.3 Lost and Found At the end of the stay, the Individual is invited to check that they have not left any personal effects in the accommodation or in the common areas. Any personal object, excluding perishable goods, must be claimed within two months of departure. Found objects will be shipped after receipt of the amount of the postal fees related to their sending.
ARTICLE V – COMPLAINTS To ensure a pleasant stay, any complaint relating to the accommodation or activities must be made on site, to allow SAS DéfiPlanet’ to act immediately and satisfy the Individuals to the best of their ability. Any subsequent complaint will not give rise to any compensation.
